My ex-wife tried to sue me for half the house, but she hadnt reckoned on my foresight. Our marriage ended in a courtroomI wont say who was at fault because, lets be honest, its always both.
The truth is, my second wife found herself a wealthy lovera businessman whod moved here years ago and opened a little café in our town. At first, she hid the affair, but soon, they didnt even bother. Then she confronted me, declaring shed file for divorce and demand half our home. She expected me to panic, but that flat was bought with my hard-earned money alone. She had no claim to it, other than having lived there two years. Yet there she was, bold as brass, making demands.
I stayed calm. Didnt even try to talk her out of court. Just waited for her to lose and foot the legal fees. Id learned my lesson the first timemy first ex dragged me through a three-year battle. Every hearing ended in a row. In the end, she took half my inheritance, the house my father left me, thanks to a sharp solicitor.
