Look at Her… Thinks She’s Going to Be Someone. Poor Little Thing, What a Delusion.

“Look at her thinks shes going to be somebody. Poor thing, with that shabby old briefcase.” Emily heard the whispers as she tightened her grip on the worn leather bag. It wasnt designer, it wasnt newbut to her, it held her future. She dreamed of being an entrepreneur, even though she had no home, no money, not even a proper place to sleep.
One day, she caught wind of an event where Londons top business leaders would share ideas for new ventures. *Im going*, she decided. Dressed in simple clothes, briefcase in hand, she arrived. The crowd snickered, muttered, eyed her with disdain.
Still, she walked straight to the entrance with her head high.
“Id like to say something,” she insisted. The host blocked her path, voice sharp.
“We cant let some no-name with no prospects ruin our event.”
Then, a respected businessman stood.
“If shes got the nerve to come here, she must have something worth saying.”
They handed her the microphone. Emily took a deep breath, opened her briefcase, and pulled out a carefully folded sheet of paper.
“Months ago, I had a vision. A car unlike anything ever built and I know I can make it.”
The man studied the design, eyes widening.
“This is more groundbreaking than anything weve seen today.”
He invited her to lunch, listened to her story, and by the end, theyd signed a deal. Within a year, Emily owned the largest car dealership in London. She never let go of that battered briefcaseit reminded her where she started.
Remember this: some will judge what they see, others will mock what they dont understand, and a few will try to shut the door before you speak. But if you believe in your vision and fight for it, one day, those same voices that doubted you will watch you rise. And youll walk tall, knowing no one ever killed your dream.
