At the factory where Sarah worked almost all her life, they remembered her. In honor of her 75th anniversary, and two other workers, they decided to arrange a holiday.
The woman was in seventh heaven with happiness. She got ready, put on her favorite dress, which she kept for a special occasion, combined it with jewelry, a scarf and went to the meeting.
Everything was organized at the highest level. The administration did a great job. After the greeting and welcoming speech, the deputy director presented envelopes with money to the birthday people, and everyone went to the dining room to have dinner. By the end of the evening, the pensioners were also handed bags of food.Sarah liked the set very much, but she thought how she would bring everything home.
One of the factory workers offered her to leave the products with her and come back for them when it would be convenient. Sarah smiled.
– Thank you, of course. But I’ll pick it up somehow.
I decided to go home by bus. It was winter. All roads were covered with snow and ice. Sarah stood at the bus stop for a long time, but there was no transport. She decided to go on foot, walked and smiled. The products are useful, necessary, and of very high quality.
And so, the woman reached the pedestrian crossing. She held the package tightly in her hands and tried to cross the street carefully. An expensive car barely stopped near her and started honking. But the traffic light was red. The driver was just an inadequate guy. He kept honking at the elderly woman.
Apparently, Sarah did not expect this, because she jumped up, slipped and fell. Everything from the bag fell out, the cereals scattered, the can broke. The driver of the car and his girlfriend began to laugh loudly. They continued, not stopping to signal to the woman to quickly get out of the way.
Sarah did not tolerate this attitude towards her. She gathered the rest of the food in a bag, flour and cereals, and threw it on the windshield of the car. The guy did not get out of the car, because it was covered with a mixture of flour, snow and cereals. He also could not see anything to continue his journey.
The woman collected canned food from the road, put it in a bag and returned home.
– Grandma, I already know that there will be no pies, we have no flour left, – said Sarah’s grandson, who came to congratulate her, – the video went viral all over the country.
