Recently I attended the birthday of my former classmate. It is her 40th anniversary this year. We have known each other since the 1st grade, and we are still friends.
Among the guests there were many people I did not know, but I noticed one old friend. My friend and I used to be friends with him, although he was 8 years older than us. When the other guests went to dance, we talked about our lives.
Sam is almost 50. He was married, but divorced a few years ago. Now he lives alone.
Sam himself is a very well-groomed, imposing and neat man. He has been doing sports for half his life. He is against smoking and alcohol. He also earns good money. So I decided to ask what did not suit such a handsome man in his wife. And the question why he did not marry again did not give me peace of mind.
Sam shrugged his shoulders and said that he simply had not found a worthy candidate.
He does not look at young people, because his daughter is 23 years old. And he does not accept this kind of marriage.
Young people should be attracted to young people. But there are no good candidates among women of his age. I was surprised by such conclusions. I decided to ask him what exactly does not suit 50-year-olds in ladies.
He dictated me a whole list.
1. Problems out of nothing.
Sam claims that with age, women begin to invent problems out of nowhere, that is, make a big deal out of nothing. They say, they have grown up children, grandchildren, a comfortable life. So they have nothing to do. And even those who continue to work and fuss about everything, terribly exaggerate their own responsibilities. For such a lady, a man becomes just superfluous.
2. Pessimistic mood.
Sam believes that crossing the age line, women begin to immerse themselves in themselves, which can eventually lead to apathy or depression. Such women are constantly angry, which is why they make sour faces. Not every man can withstand such women’s suffering. It is clear that life is not easy, but such behavior of wives only complicates the situation.
3. Appearance and self-care.
Youth goes away with the years, so beauty sooner or later fades. But this is not the main condition for premature aging. It can only be that the wife has neglected herself. Some people after 50 years just give up on themselves. However, age does not matter. You should always take care of yourself.
4. Interests and hobbies.
Or rather their absence. Everything that interests ladies over 50: conservation, grandchildren and family budget. Men get tired of living with such a wife. Even at this age, one cannot do without personal development and motivation.
5. Excessive availability.
When a single 50-year-old woman sees a bachelor man, she agrees to everything. He becomes her winning ticket, because the lady understands the hopelessness of her situation. Such women scare away the lack of pride, modesty, principles and the like
I am not ready to agree with all Sam’s words. But maybe there is some truth in his judgments.
