50-year-old Vanessa spent 20 years of her life alone. As soon as she stopped chasing happiness, it knocked on the door.

Vanessa was a real beauty. She looked 15 or even 20 years younger than her age. The woman was always distinguished by her charisma and beauty, but she was not lucky with her personal life.

Vanessa’s husband, who carried her in his arms and solved all her problems for her, died too soon. They managed to bring up only one daughter. After her husband, Vanessa did not marry again.

Life went on, Vanessa felt the need for a strong shoulder, but she had no options. There was one man – Victor, he had been courting Vanessa for several years. But to no avail. Vanessa treated him only as a good friend. He helped her to fix the pipes in the house, repair the garage, lift a new coffee table to the 4th floor and so on, but there was no talk of any romantic relationship.

In the summer, Vanessa decided to go to her daughter, who lived with her family in another country. The woman hoped to meet her destiny there – she bought a lot of beautiful swimsuits, hats and pareos. She entrusted her house to an old friend – Victor, who was to periodically water the flowers and monitor the security of the house.

Seeing his friend off to the airport, Victor wanted to kiss his friend goodbye at the end, but she turned away and headed for the gate. She had a teenage grandson there. He was a very active and smart kid.

When the grandmother went in search of her destiny on the beach, the grandson followed right behind her; not to leave the grandmother alone in an unfamiliar city. A couple of times men came up to Vanessa to get acquainted, but then the grandson got out of the water and shouting “Grandma! Grandma!” he would run up to her, scaring away potential suitors. Vanessa quickly realized that she would not find love with her grandson and spent the rest of her vacation as a grandmother.

Two weeks later, Vanessa’s plane landed in her hometown.

– Vanessa, I missed you so much, welcome, – Victor met her with flowers.

– I missed you too, Victor, – taking the flowers, Vanessa handed her things to Victor.

Victor and Vanessa got into the car. Vanessa put her hand on Victor’s palm and said:

– I agree.

– Agree? – Victor did not understand what she was talking about.

– I agree to marry you, – Vanessa said.

A month later, they had a modest wedding. To be more precise, they just celebrated the day in the circle of their loved ones and then lived happily ever after.
