Wendy was standing alone in the shopping mall, waiting for her daughter, with whom they were going to go shopping, to find her a dress for her friend’s wedding. Then a bald, pot-bellied man approached her from behind:
– Wendy? – he asked, touching her shoulder.
– Anthony, is it really you? – it was difficult to see the once handsome man in him, but Wendy will never forget such a scoundrel in her life – you … have changed.
…23 years ago, Wendy and Anthony were preparing for their wedding. They were a beautiful couple, many people talked about them with kind envy.
It was the wedding day. There was a festive excitement in Wendy’s house. Everybody was going back and forth, preparing something, decorating something, and she was preparing for the service that all brides go through before the wedding to make their family life happy. While everyone, including Anthony, was waiting for the bride, a car drove up to her house, a woman got out and began to ask everyone where the groom was, assuring that she was his real mother-in-law.
– Excuse me, – Wendy’s mother stood in front of her, – are you sure you’re not confused?
– I don’t think so, – waiting for Wendy, the woman said that her daughter was expecting a child from Anthony, – you will have time to find a man. You’re not pregnant, and my daughter is walking around with a belly. She’s in the car, she’s ashamed to come out. Lisa, get out of the car!
Wendy almost fainted at the sight of the girl with an approximately seven-month belly. Then Anthony got into the car and went to marry Lisa.
– So, Lisa gave birth to a girl… “sunny”. We suffer with her constantly, she has a lot of diseases since birth… and my wife and I do not like each other much. Our life didn’t work out…
– Well, your fault, – Wendy shrugged her shoulders and walked away proudly.
